Spinning Fire! Sparks Fill the Night! 🔥

🔥 Drums, dancing and giant fire beasts at Sagrada Família in Barcelona! I captured this spectacular festival performance in the square of the Sagrada Família. Giant fire beasts, including a scorpion-like creature and a dragon-headed beast, took the stage alongside drummers, dancers and fire handlers. Carried above the performers’ heads, the beasts spun and danced as red flames burst out, followed by showers of sparks. This was more than an ordinary fireworks display. Catalonia has a rich tradition of festive fire performances, including an event known as correfoc, which features fire, music and mythical creatures. I’m still learning more about the exact name of this particular performance. This was my second time witnessing a fire-beast performance at Sagrada Família. This time, I also had the chance to capture the drummers and more of the action. A packed square, powerful rhythms, dancing, flames and flying sparks — an unforgettable moment in Barcelona.
