We Made It! Out Longest Stretch Without Fuel | Great Loop Week 4

Week 4 of The Great Loop took us on one of our biggest adventures yet! This week aboard River Dance, our Carver 366 Motor Yacht, we traveled from Alton, Illinois, down the Mississippi River, up the Ohio River, and onto the Tennessee River toward Kentucky Lake. With a gasoline-powered boat and limited fueling options along the way, we faced one of the most challenging stretches of our Great Loop adventure so far! Between long cruising days, remote anchorages, navigating around commercial tow traffic, and delays at Olmsted Lock, there was plenty to keep us on our toes. But there were also beautiful sunrises, incredible river scenery, and unforgettable moments along the way. After days of planning around our fuel supply, we finally reached Paducah, Kentucky, fueled up, and continued toward Kentucky Lake — a first for River Dance!
