Traditional Customary Court Rules Explained at Adi Traditional Customary Court Balek.pasighat. Pasighat, Nov.1 2026:-An awareness and explanatory session on the rules, procedures and functioning of the Traditional Customary Court was held today at Adi Traditional Customary Court Balek Village, East Siang District, under the Adi Kebang Ekum. During the session, Dr. Takeng Taggu, President of the Gaon Bura of the Village Authority and a member of the Adi Belt, explained the rules and procedures of the Traditional Customary Court, highlighting how the institution functions in resolving disputes and maintaining peace, harmony and social discipline within the community. The discussion focused on the importance of understanding traditional customary laws, the responsibilities of village authorities and the proper functioning of the Traditional Customary Court in accordance with established community customs and traditions. The initiative aimed to promote awareness of the Traditional Customary Court system and reinforce the importance of preserving the age-old customary practices, values and traditional justice system of the Adi community.
