CNN and NDTV both reported that his team was handling thousands of SOS requests at the time. Srinivas has said his work was humanitarian, not “pandemic politics,” and Congress says foreign missions also approached his team for assistance. His COVID record is therefore a direct answer to BJP president Nitin Nabin’s attacks on the Opposition as anti-democratic or destabilising—but it does not by itself prove any allegation against Nabin. The political point is simple: before calling the Opposition “Urban Naxals” or accusing it of destabilising the country, leaders should reckon with the public-service record of those they target. Nabin has accused the Opposition of pursuing a “regime change” agenda, while Srinivas’s COVID relief work remains a major counter-narrative for Congress. “असर दिखने लगा है” is a political claim, not a verified outcome. The real issue is whether public service, verified relief work and accountability matter more than labels in today’s political battle.
