In 1968, three Black American teenagers travelled from Washington, D.C., to Ghana, hoping to reconnect with their African roots. What they discovered challenged their understanding of identity, freedom and the meaning of home. This rare CBS documentary follows their journey through Ghana, including visits to local families, historical sites and Mfantsipim School in Cape Coast, where a heated exchange with Ghanaian students exposes striking differences in how they viewed slavery, freedom and African society. More than half a century later, their conversations remain fascinating. What do you make of their experiences in Ghana?
