150: You Never Know Who You're Going to Meet. ft. Jennifer Wilber & Marissa Rothschild

In this episode, host Alex sits down with Jennifer Wilber and Marissa Rothschild — co-hosts of Crazy Real with Bugge and Zogg — for a conversation that is exactly what it sounds like. Real, honest, funny, and the kind of chat that reminds you why connection matters and why sometimes the most important thing you can do for yourself is just decide to have fun again. Jennifer is a wife, mom of two, SUNY Oswego broadcast journalism grad, and 23-year veteran of Westlake Development who started a podcast because she was tired of being in a rut and decided to do something about it. Marissa is a former elementary school teacher, stay-at-home mom of 12 years, and the go-with-the-flow counterpart who showed up to dinner one night and said yes before she even knew what she was agreeing to. Together they created Crazy Real — a show built on authentic stories, real laughter, and the kind of conversations that make people feel a little less alone. They released their 25th episode the same day this one was recorded. This one is for anyone who has ever talked themselves out of starting something because it was not the right time, the right plan, or the right anything. Sometimes you just have to go for it. 💬 Topics we cover: 0:00 Meet Jennifer and Marisa of Crazy Real with Bugge and Zogg 3:30 They Had a Falling Out and Then Started a Podcast Together 5:00 Marisa Grew Up on a Dairy Farm and Took Regents Exams After Unloading Hay 8:30 She Stopped Teaching in 2014 and Lost Herself a Little 10:00 Jen Went to Broadcast School Out of Spite 12:00 Why She Walked Away From News After One Internship 15:50 Why They Actually Started Crazy Real with Bugge and Zogg 17:00 You Never Know Who You Are Going to Meet 18:00 Only You Can Get Yourself Out of a Funk Check out Crazy Real with Bugge and Zogg: https://linktr.ee/crazyrealbuggezogg Learn more about owning The Scout Guide: https://thescoutguide.com/franchise/ Join us for Camp Collective, a weekend retreat for growth-minded women, November 13 to 15 at Vanderkamp.
