Intro to FMM - Nicole Eikmeier

Nicole Eikmeier, Purdue University Math department PUNLAG is a student-led seminar in numerical linear algebra at Purdue University. I’ll given an introduction to Fast Multipole methods, which give a way to solve the N-body problem in O(N log N) or O(N) time. We’ll also discuss this in the context of fast matrix-vector multiplication.
