Taylor Swift’s 4 New Songs: Breaking Down the Lyrics | Behind the Curtain with Gio Battaglia

Taylor Swift gave Swifties plenty to talk about — four new songs, a new music video and a big night at the MTV VMAs. This week on Behind the Curtain, Gio Battaglia goes solo to break down “Babylon,” “Pink Clouding,” “Cleveland” and “Patient Zero” from The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore. From nostalgia and regret to love, criticism and moving on, we’re digging into the stories behind the lyrics — including which songs were instant favorites and which took a few (or 20) listens to click. Plus, we look at Swift’s night at the VMAs, her evolution as a music video director and the debut of the “Patient Zero” music video starring Dakota Johnson. What’s your ranking of the four new tracks? #TaylorSwift #Swifties #BehindTheCurtain
