Step inside The Conran Shop Daikanyama in Tokyo — a unique concept store where Asian design, craft, and everyday living quietly come together. Originally from London, The Conran Shop is known worldwide for shaping modern lifestyles through design. But here in Tokyo, the space takes on a different perspective — one that is more local, more rooted in Asia. Carefully curated on the ground, this is the first Conran Shop to focus deeply on Asian makers, materials, and sensibilities. Furniture, objects, and textures are arranged with intention, creating a calm and balanced atmosphere. During this visit, a special exhibition by Japanese glass artist Takeshi Tsujino was on view. His works — from vessels and glasses to lighting — explore the relationship between material, time, and everyday life. Subtle textures and soft distortions in the glass transform how light and shadow move within a space. In contrast to the open and light-filled ground floor, the lower level offers a more meditative experience, where gallery exhibitions and a quiet tea space invite visitors to slow down. This is not just a design shop. It is a space that redefines how we live with objects. #Tokyo #JapanDesign #InteriorDesign #JapaneseCraft #AsianDesign #DesignStore #TokyoTravel #Architecture #MinimalDesign #ConranShop #luxurylifestyle
