His real name is Peter Parker, a teenager who gains extraordinary powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider. The Origin of Spider-Man Peter Parker was originally an ordinary teenager. He was intelligent, shy, and interested in science. After being bitten by a radioactive spider during a scientific demonstration, Peter suddenly developed incredible abilities. He gained superhuman strength, speed, agility, balance, and the ability to stick to walls. He also developed a special danger sense known as Spider-Sense, which warns him when something dangerous is about to happen. At first, Peter used his powers for himself.
