Spider-Man — The Friendly Neighborhood Super Hero
Spider-Man is one of the most famous and beloved superheroes in the world. He is a fictional character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko for Marvel Comics. Spider-Man first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in August 1962. His real name is Peter Parker, a teenager who gains extraordinary powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider.
The Origin of Spider-Man
Peter Parker was originally an ordinary teenager. He was intelligent, shy, and interested in science. After being bitten by a radioactive spider during a scientific demonstration, Peter suddenly developed incredible abilities.
He gained superhuman strength, speed, agility, balance, and the ability to stick to walls. He also developed a special danger sense known as Spider-Sense, which warns him when something dangerous is about to happen.
At first, Peter used his powers for himself. He became interested in making money and becoming famous. However, his life changed dramatically after his Uncle Ben was killed by a criminal whom Peter could have stopped earlier.
This experience taught Peter an important lesson:
“With great power comes great responsibility.”
From that moment, Peter decided to use his abilities to protect innocent people and fight criminals.
