ΒΡΟΤΟΣ ΦΑΙΑΞ — ΑΓΧΙΘΕΟΙ
What if Scheria was never simply an island?
What if the Phaeacians were remembered as ἀγχίθεοι — “near to the gods” — because they had crossed a boundary that ordinary mortals could not perceive?
Inspired by the mysterious Phaeacians of the Odyssey, ΒΡΟΤΟΣ ΦΑΙΑΞ — ΑΓΧΙΘΕΟΙ reimagines their impossible ships, vessels that know their destination without rudders or helmsmen, as travellers between worlds.
Odysseus sleeps.
The ship moves.
The sea folds.
And a gate is crossed without the mortal passenger ever knowing it existed.
In the universe of Antichthon, the Agchitheoi are neither gods nor true immortals. They exist in the space between worlds, beyond ordinary human time. Yet among them remains one bound to breath, age, and death.
ΒΡΟΤΟΣ ΦΑΙΑΞ.
The Mortal Phaeacian.
Through mirrored gates and the spiral light of Archimedes, the ancient ships continue their forgotten journey from Scheria toward Antichthon.
Perhaps the gods were never far away.
Perhaps we were simply the ones who never crossed through.
Ἄγχι θεῶν…
Φαίηκες ἀγχίθεοι.
The ones who sailed between the worlds.
