Southwest Florida Kayak Fishing Before Hurricane Isaias

What happens when you go kayak fishing in Southwest Florida just two days before a hurricane makes landfall 370 miles away? 🌧️🎣 A quick apology in advance for the audio quality in this video. Thanks for bearing with me, and I hope you enjoy the fishing adventure! 🎣 Join me for a wet and wild day of kayak fishing around Pine Island, Florida, just two days before Hurricane Isaias made landfall. With heavy rain and visibility getting worse, I had to take shelter under the mangroves before getting back to fishing. I started the morning throwing topwater lures, hoping to get some explosive strikes early. As conditions changed, I switched over to the Salt Strong Flea Flicker to see if I could get the fish biting on something different. With an incoming tide and plenty of rain to deal with, I kept working the mangroves and grass flats in search of fish. The trip paid off with a redfish and a speckled sea trout that made their way home with me for some fresh fish tacos for dinner!
