In this video, I’m tackling a brand-new creative challenge: sewing a pair of vintage-inspired cross-back matching aprons for my 3-year-old daughter and me! This was actually my very first time ever making an apron, so instead of using a complicated commercial pattern layout, I am freehanding the cutting lines directly onto this gorgeous pink, green, and white spring plaid cotton fabric. I’m sharing the exact fabric lengths and widths so any beginner can easily copy and sew this project at home! Filming a simple step-by-step tutorial while balancing a busy toddler means things get a little dramatic fast.
