September 27, 1974. Chaos In College Park

Turn to any Elvis fan and ask what was the worst concert Elvis ever performed. Some might say Omaha in June of 1977, some might say Baltimore in May of 1977, or Houston in August of 1976, but almost universally Elvis fans will point to the first of two shows at the start of his September/ October tour in 1974. To be honest, I know very little about this month or concert outside of the same, He fell getting out of the limo, he had to hold on to the mic just to stand. There is barely any photos from this concert publicly available to use, as if the internet wanted to bury it. Ironically this was the first time Elvis started employing the band solos, shorter than the ones that began in March the following year, but this concert was just showing what was to come for Elvis fans. This concert was one of Straight Arrows first releases back in 2006.
