Breeding endangered orangutans is vital, but what happens when an expectant mother has a dark history of completely rejecting her offspring? Three years ago, Roro gave birth to her first baby. Tragically, she showed zero maternal instincts, refusing to feed her and wrapping the newborn in a blanket, forcing keepers to step in and hand-rear the infant to save its life. Now, Roro has just given birth for the second time. Because he has built an incredible level of trust with her, the animal manager steps directly into the enclosure to film the terrifying first moments.
