This song began with my own ideas and a simple inspiration: a lightweight, transparent fabric. As I explored its meaning, I began to see it as a symbol of the spiritual guidance and protection I need in my life. For me, these shades symbolize kindness, peace, hope, love, faith, wisdom, and the guidance of God... precious things I need to nurture my spirit and protect my soul as I continue learning and growing in faith. I know I am not perfect. I need these shades, too. My hope is that this song will gently remind us that we all need guidance, that we can keep learning together, and that we can share goodness and love with one another.
