We started our journey from Kuala Lumpur to Alor Setar, covering approximately 500KM on the first leg of our 1,500KM Peninsular Malaysia adventure. Instead of taking the highway all the way, we went through the scenic routes — Tasik Raban, Menara Condong, endless sawah padi, dense forests, winding roads and kampung roads before finally reaching Alor Setar.
