This video captures the Honraku day of the 2026 Kariya Mando Festival in Kariya, Aichi, Japan. I joined the festival partway through the evening, so the video begins with the overall atmosphere of the venue. From there, you can see illuminated Mando lantern floats, the movement of each town’s Mando, the crowd, and the energy of the night festival. The video also includes the all-town simultaneous dance finale. I kept filming for several minutes after the finale as well, capturing the quiet atmosphere just after the festival, the crowd beginning to disperse, and the Mando being moved away at the end of the night.
