West Highland Way: Day Seven - Kinlochleven to Fort William

In April 2026, we walked the West Highland Way to raise money for Cure Parkinsons, inspired by my mum's brave fight with Parkinsons Dementia. Day seven, our final day. It's a long 15 miles from Kinlochleven to Fort William, never mind in torrential rain! We were soaked right through by the end. We wouldn't change a thing. The views, again, are just stunning. The climb out of Kinlochleven is tough - do not underestimate that part at all! Being able to see all our fellow hikers ahead of us on the path through the mountains was magical - all going the same direction, to the end. Once Ben Nevis comes into view (It barely did until we were right upon it due to mist) you'd be forgiven for thinking you were almost there - you're not quite. It's a long, hard path down to the end. Finally meeting the man with the sore feet is quite nice though. The WHW - what a fantastic experience!
