Livestock Technician Course Opening Ceremony (3rd Batch)

Inauguration ceremony of Livestock Technician course was held at the Midcountry Livestock Development Center, Digana, Kandy with the participation of prof. H. W. Cyril, the Chairman of NLDB , Dr. K.G.J.S. Disnaka, the General Manager of NLDB on 08th January 2024. 20 students were enrolled in to the third batch of the training course which is full time six months residential training providing hands on experience of farm machineries and operations in Dairy farms. The NLDB maintains the largest dairies in the country and this course aims providing opportunities for the Sri Lankan youth to get their skills developed catering the demand of skilled farm workers in abroad and within the country. NLDB owned resources are allocated for this training and it is a national need of the moment. Large number of NLDB trainees are securing job opportunities in foreign countries every year as NLDB is the only government organization having large and modern dairies which can provide essential skills targeted training.
