Boss BF-2 and HF-2 Flangers - vintage pedal demo and PCB view

This is the 8th video of this series - containing both a demonstration of a vintage Boss pedal or pedals, plus an examination of the circuitry of the pedal and points out a few key features. This video #8 features my favourite effect of all time - the Flanger! We are test driving the legendary Boss BF-2 Flanger plus a follow-on pedal called the HF-2 Hi-Band Flanger. Pretty amazing engineering for those days ... and you'll find the BF-2 and HF-2 have quite similar circuits with a couple key differences. Also we learn that Flanger and Chorus are closely related effects too. We can easily achieve a Chorus sound with a Flanger pedal. To give it a bit of stereo ambience, I've added in a DD-6 Digital Delay. I just acquired this pedal in time for making this video so I had to try it out!
