High above Lagos de Moreno stands El Calvario, a historic hilltop church overlooking the city, its valley and the surrounding landscape. But what does it take to reach those views on foot? Our 1 km walk begins near a fountain and follows the pedestrian paths of Calle Democracia, passing a monument dedicated to Pedro Moreno before starting the climb toward El Calvario. The route takes us through the neighborhood, uphill sidewalks and the upper access area before opening onto the spacious explanada of the Templo del Calvario. Dating from the 19th century, the church is one of the architectural landmarks that define the skyline of Lagos de Moreno.
