Led Zeppelin - The Rain Song: Couch Covers by The Student Loan

When George Harrison told John Bonham “the problem with your band is you don’t do any ballads,” Jimmy Page and Robert Plant responded by hopping out of a nearby closet and surprising Harrison with an impromptu acoustic performance of The Rain Song. Following the performance, Harrison then said “fair play to you, Zeppelin” and went to Eric Clapton’s house to write his musical rebuttal “Here Comes the Sun.” Wow, if Here Comes the Sun had not been written and released several years prior, this story (which contains some factual elements) would have almost made sense.
