Van Life in Manitou Springs, Colorado |Drum Circles & Mountain Camping

Welcome back to another van life adventure in Colorado! This week I spend a few peaceful nights camping in the San Isabel National Forest near Nathrop, Colorado, surrounded by the spectacular Collegiate Peaks. Along the drive, I spot a herd of buffalo before making my way to the quirky mountain town of Manitou Springs. While staying with friends, I experience some of the unique local culture that makes Manitou Springs so popular, including a weekly drum circle, a lively street festival, and live music throughout town. Colorado weather keeps things interesting with freezing temperatures, rain, fog, and even snow before suddenly switching back to warm sunshine. Needing a break from town life, I head into the Pike National Forest and discover a beautiful campsite at 9,500 feet with incredible views of snow-covered Pikes Peak ( AKA Tava). I also test out a new piece of camping gear, the Seesii mini electric chainsaw, before a thunderstorm sends me back toward Manitou Springs. If you enjoy van life, dispersed camping, Colorado mountain scenery, national forests, and small-town adventures, this episode is for you.
