Athlete Lab - Line A-Stern - Chicagoland Skydiving Center 2026 - Flocking

Alright… real talk before we get into it. This one’s long. Longer than usual. Sorry in advance if you’re the kind of person who only has twelve minutes between loads, but I wanted to make an actual long-format video this time. No rushed highlight reel. Just the real work. Last year’s Athlete Lab word was interdigitation — that moment where two flocks become one for a brief second as we fly through each other. This year the word was murmuration. For us, that means stopping the habit of keying specific points and instead organically flowing to the next point on the skydive, the whole group moving like one living, flocking formation. We used Line A-Stern to grow the possibilities of what can be done with a formation. For anyone who hasn’t heard the term, Line A-Stern is when the pilot chute is basically sitting in your lap the whole time. It’s pretty special being involved with Momentum.
