Climbing Great Gable from Honister Pass – Lake District Adventure

Start your Lake District adventure at the world-famous Honister Pass Slate Mine and ascend to Grey Knotts, offering some of the best views in the Lake District. From here, you can see Buttermere, Seathwaite, Glamara, Dale Head, Robinson, and as far north as Blencathra and Skiddaw. Follow the ridge as you bag Brandreth, Green Gable, and ultimately the iconic Great Gable. Look south to take in the Scafell Pike range and Wast Water — the Lake District at its most dramatic. On your return, slightly deviate to climb Base Brown for breathtaking views over Seathwaite Valley and Glamar opposite. Cross Southill Gill and head back north to return to Honister Pass. This route is perfect for hikers seeking dramatic peaks, ridge walks, and unforgettable panoramas in Cumbria’s rugged mountains. lake district, lake district walks, lake district England, lake district national park, hiking, walks, Cumbria, mountains, outdoors, national parks England, Honister Pass, Grey Knotts, Great Gable, Base Brown, ridge walks 📍 Hashtags: #lakedistrict #hiking #outdoorphotography #walkinguk #lakedistrictnationalpark #walking #bestwalks #summer #winter #drone #honisterslatemine #honisterpass #keswick #cumbria All Filming Kit: Camera: Samsung Galaxy S20.
