FoodTechBangladesh Inaugurates Third Aquaculture Centre of Excellence in Mymensingh

FoodTechBangladesh inaugurated its third Aquaculture Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Mymensingh on July 21, 2026, expanding access to advanced aquaculture technologies and practical learning for farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry stakeholders. Equipped with in-tank and in-pond Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), the centre will serve as a platform for technology demonstration, applied research, training, and knowledge exchange. The inauguration brought together representatives from government, industry, academia, and research institutions, including Dr. Md. Khaled Kanak, Director General of the Department of Fisheries, and H.E. Mr. Joris van Bommel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Bangladesh. FoodTechBangladesh is a five-year public-private partnership co-funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh and co-implemented by Larive International and LightCastle Partners.
