Jai Jai Jag Janani Devi | Devi Stuti Kathak | Richa's Rangapravesh

Jai Jai Jag Janani Devi: a Kathak Devi Stuti in Raag Jaijaiwanti, the opening piece of my Rangapravesh (debut solo recital). Every journey begins with an invocation. I opened my Rangapravesh with this hymn to the Devi, attributed to Tulsidas and set to Ek taal and Raag Jaijaiwanti. For me it was gratitude to the Shakti behind every riyaaz, every early morning and every moment of doubt that turned into faith.
