ALPACAMOBILE Exhibit Pen Upgrades, 8/9/2026

Now that I can herd all three alpacas into my van all by myself, I wanted to have an exhibit pen that I could also set up all by myself while the boys wait inside the van. Now I can open up the back so that the boys can have a better outside view and airflow with the new back-end roll up barrier - all while I am busy setting up the pen. The new idea includes having the van be the backside of the exhibit pen. After the exhibit is over, I am hoping that I can just herd them back into the van with the two “herding sticks” (2 four-foot pieces of PVC 1/2” pipe). My van has a hitch platform that needs to be down in order to open the lift gate in the back. When the hitch platform is in the down position, the lift gate can be easily opened. I plan to unload everything off of the hitch platform once I have parked the van where I want my exhibit pen to be. Then I will open the back lift gate so that the boys can enjoy a view and more airflow while I am setting up the exhibit pen.
