Hanle, located in Ladakh, is not only Globally famous for Indian Astronomical Observatory (World's Highest ground based optical telescope at 4,500 meters) but also for its rare wildlife like Kiang, Golden duck, Black necked crane and many more.
I got a chance to pass by the Remote Rongo Village while returning from Hanle, situated on the banks of Indus river in Changthang Region.
This village is home to Changpa tribe which lives around rearing yaks, mountain goats, and sheep for pashmina wool.
I also went through the Puga Valley, near Karzok and Tso Moriri Lake, known for its natural hot springs and borax fields. It is also called India's first geothermal energy hub.
After crossing the Mahe Bridge you will enter the Leh Manali highway which is a paradise of snow capped Mountains, adventurous roads and stunning landscapes. This highway road trip is a life time experience of your Ladakh journey. Its a journey of 12 nonstop hours to Manali. You have to cross the most dangerous but beautiful passes like Baralacha La which is at 16040 ft height, Gata loops, The Nakee La pass.
If the drive feels long and tiring, you can also stay in Jispa or Pang overnight before reaching Manali.
