This talk features Farhia Kabeer and Sohrab Salehi, Postdoctoral Fellows at the Aparicio and Shah labs, respectively. Here, they introduce fitClone, a machine-learning approach that builds upon principles in population genetics to predict evolutionary trajectories during cancer progression and treatment. They merge these computational tools with new technologies for single-cell genome sequencing and apply them to accurately forecast clonal dynamics in patient-derived xenograft models. This seminar is part of the Center for Integrated Cellular Analysis Virtual Series, a set of online talks discussing new computational and analytical methods for single-cell multi-omics.
