Hello and welcome to my channel; Doctraveller MN. Today is Day 3 of our journey. As you know we embarked on a 7D / 8 N journey to South and West Sikkim on 15.6.23, Last night we stayed at Uttarey, situated close to Indo- Nepal border. We stayed at Monal Homestay - a pet friendly nice homestay, Its owner - Mr. Iksa Limboo was a gentleman and we enjoyed our stay here. We explroed places ion and around Uttarey namely and is a must place to visit 1. Tenzing Hillary Park- Situated atop a mountain this beautiful , well maintained park is dedicated to the first time ascenders of Mt Everest. The surround views from the top are amazing 2. Next we explored the Trout breeding centre- It is under the govt of Sikkim and is a place of must visit. Located 2 kms from Uttarey town and nestled amidst green and peaceful surroundings you will enjoying your time with the fishes here. 3. Next, we had a close look at the titanic park situated at the heart of the town. 4. We visited the ancient Kagyu Monastery. Situated at a height of 7200 ft you have to take few steps to reach the monastery. A hindu temple is housed within the complex. 5. We took Lunch at Dentam - Food was good 6. Next we were headed towards Pelling and enjoyed at Changey falls just 9 kms from Pelling. Falling from a height of 340 ft this waterfall is just by the side of the Pelling - Dentam Road and you will have a good time here. Next time you plan your trip to Uttarey dont miss these must visit places.
