By October 1776, General George Washington and the Continental Army were in a tough spot. After losing the Battle of Long Island in August and being forced out of New York City, Washington retreated north into Westchester County to prevent his troops from being completely surrounded by the British Army. What followed was the Battle of White Plains, which was reenacted at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Westchester County 250 years later.
Video shot, edited, and written by Joseph D’Andrea.
