Police had already arrested Anthony Sowell—and released him. Almost a year later, investigators entered his Cleveland house and began uncovering the remains of eleven women. This episode follows the survivors who escaped, the expanding search on Imperial Avenue, and the evidence that proved the murders. It also examines the earlier warnings and the chances authorities had to stop him. Sowell was convicted of murdering all eleven women in 2011. He received death sentences and died in custody in 2021 before being executed. In memory of Tonia Carmichael, Nancy Cobbs, Tishana Culver, Crystal Dozier, Telacia Fortson, Amelda Hunter, Leshanda Long, Michelle Mason, Kim Yvette Smith, Janice Webb and Diane Turner.
