Hare Krishna Jai Sri Radhe ! 🌻 Its the month of July when my memories of the Monsoon in 2006 always come flooding my mind thereof my pilgrimage in Vrindavane, India ! I was reminiscing the MONSOON which came pouring torrents swelling the rivers to inundate the verdant pastures over the horizon for miles..... casting vistas of green shadows while branches danced to the tunes of pouring rain ! Never did miss the ever more mischievous monkeys drenched in the rain with gangly arms swinging on branches and roof tops harassing pilgrims ! Colourful butterflies fluttered while fragrant blossoms of jasmine, rose and marigold of myriad hues graced Holy Vrindavane. It was lovely to see birds spreading their wings chirping and flying high in the drizzles of low clouds while from afar I saw peacocks dance proudly showing of their feathers in the rain while thousands of devotees sang and danced gracefully swinging Their beautiful Lordships in temples across Vrindavane and Govardhan . There was so much of joy as hearts too met in great delight in this joyous spirit of Jhulan Yatra -- the Swing Festival of Sri Sri RadhaKrishna ! As I reflected on this beautiful scenes of 2006, just then a melody came flowing like a river into the ocean of my heart. The voice of the waves from the depth of my heart wasn't that which crashes but one that is calm, sways and sails me across to be in Vrindavane ! I rendered this composition for the first time to my delight and at times unrhythmically straying off to the tuneful stream of Raag Misra Pahadi during my Sandhya Aarti at home yesterday. If I were a bird I would sing a song all season long ! 😁 I would like immensely thank the Tablist Master Vellusamy, Recording Technician Mr Venthan and Yasothan Shanmugam for his YouTube editorial work to make this presentation possible.
