Dusty Springfield Anonymous - "Hear All Her Voices"

This program explores the various vocal styles and vocal techniques of Dusty Springfield throughout her career. The following vocal styles will be compared and contrasted: Disco Voice, Pop Voice, Sultry/ Breathy Voice, Smoky Voice, Motown / Soul voice, Ballad Torch Song Voice, Blues Voice, Jazz Voice, Dance Voice, Gospel Voice, Country Voice. Also included are historical trivia tid bits, daydreaming, attempts at mind reading, exploration of Dusty's studio production methods and her pioneering ways, and one tall tale (that would be about the Piano Player's foot cramp folks, I don't know whether he got a cramp or not. Dusty would like the humor I think as session musicians were on occasion moody, resistant, and resentful of having to take suggestions from a mere woman in the 60's. They sometimes gave her a hard time, I understand, despite being paid handsomely by the boss, who was also one of the world's greatest female vocalist!!!).
