The Boss Plays Assistant #WorkplaceComedy #HiddenIdentity #RomCom #ChineseDrama

Yu Xiaoyu's trip to a business meeting takes an expensive turn when she gets pushed off a bus, throws up, and ruins clothes worth HK$180,000. Shocked but determined to take responsibility, she insists on exchanging contact details and paying for the damage. She even asks to check whether the clothes can be cleaned. The man she met, Ming Ze, later decides to let the compensation go. But their awkward encounter is only the beginning. Arriving late at Mingchuang, Xiaoyu asks Ming Ze to help her find the boss. She has no idea she is already speaking to him. He describes the boss as stingy, unforgiving, and furious over even a minute's delay. Forty minutes late and increasingly nervous, she turns to her new “buddy” for advice on surviving the meeting. Ming Ze is the Ming family's eldest son, accustomed to people being intimidated by his status. Xiaoyu's complete lack of recognition catches his interest. He introduces himself as an assistant and has an employee play the boss, keeping the misunderstanding alive. Xiaoyu even tells the real boss to stand up and greet his supposed superior. Once the meeting begins, however, Xiaoyu proves she has come prepared. As Jingying's lead liaison for Project Two, she will spend a month at Mingchuang overseeing coordination and implementation. She challenges the slow approval process, cuts ineffective advertising spending, and proposes changes to the launch venue, budget, suppliers, and schedule. Ming Ze keeps approving her requests, while the stand-in boss tries to follow along. When Xiaoyu questions why an assistant has so much say, they explain that the company values employee input. She leaves the exchange impressed by its approachable leadership, still unaware of the secret sitting right beside her. An expensive mishap, a hidden identity, and a confident project lead set up a playful workplace comedy with the possibility of a closer connection. #WorkplaceComedy #HiddenIdentity #RomCom #ChineseDrama
