Boondocking on Revelstoke Lake! Hidden Campsites & Wildfire Smoke

Join us on another Canadian Adventures journey as we head along the road toward Mica Dam in search of great lakeside camping spots on Revelstoke Lake, British Columbia! 🇨🇦🚐 We discovered an interesting campsite near an old airfield, right beside the lake, and decided it was the perfect place to set up our camper van for a little off-grid adventure. The scenery was incredible, but the water? Absolutely freezing! Sharon decided to take the plunge into the glacial waters of Revelstoke Lake, while I captured the adventure from the shore. We also jumped on our bikes to explore the surrounding area and discovered TWO more potential campsites right on the lake. It was a great way to discover some beautiful spots that you might otherwise drive straight past. Along the way, we watched a fascinating bird throwing a bug around and chasing after it, flew the drone over the spectacular lake and mountains, and explored the rocky beach looking for some interesting stones. But the next morning, everything changed. We woke up to thick wildfire smoke that completely obscured the views.
