HPI Savage X 4.6 Was Running GREAT… Until the Spur Gear Stripped!

My HPI Savage X 4.6 GT-6 was having a great nitro run… until ANOTHER spur gear stripped! In this video, I’m running my Savage X 4.6 (#160100), and things are going pretty well until the 47T plastic spur gear gives up and ends the fun. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time it’s happened. I’ve already gone through multiple spur gears on this truck, and I’m determined to figure out what’s causing these repeated failures. I’ve been investigating the clutch, slipper clutch assembly, gear mesh, and drivetrain to find the underlying problem instead of just throwing another spur gear at it.
