Strange Meeting

A soldier believes he has escaped from the battlefield and enters a strange underground place. There he sees dead soldiers. One of them gets up and speaks to him. The dead man tells him about all the hopes and dreams he had for his life. He wanted to use his wisdom and understanding to tell people the 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐫—that war is not glorious but causes suffering and pity. Then comes the shocking revelation: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐲. The two soldiers realise that they were actually very similar. Both had hopes, dreams and a desire to live. They became enemies only because they were on opposite sides of a war.
