Sunshine, snorkeling, and relaxation at the Fairmont Orchid | The Hawaii Vlogs (6/7) | WL #12

We got married(!) in February 2020 and never expected that just a few short weeks later the world would shut down due to COVID-19. "The Hawaii Vlogs" is a 7-part series covering every day of our #honeymoon across three very different islands. Unlike many people, we jammed adventure and activity into almost every day of our trip, only slowing down once we hopped on the plane to head home. On Day 7 & 8 of our honeymoon, we headed out bright and early for the Hilo Farmers Market (about 45 min from Volcano) to grab some breakfast and explore a local Saturday in sleepy Hilo. We then booked it back across the island to Kailua-Kona for a brewery tour at Kona Brewing. After lunch, we made our way up the west coast to the beautiful Fairmont Orchid Resort. We spent two nights at this incredible place and enjoyed relaxing by the ocean, great food, snorkeling, bike rides, and more. Though we didn't get a chance to explore some of the other areas along the Kohala coast, living the resort life was a welcomed reprieve after three full days of hiking and driving. Enjoy!
