Most card hover effects scale up a little and add a bigger shadow. These ten feel like they came from a design studio, and every one is CSS you can copy today.
We start with the detail that matters most, the easing curve cubic-bezier(.16, 1, .3, 1), then build ten effects one by one: depth parallax, colour-matched shadows, a morphing profile card with clip-path, a split poster aligned with container query units, expanding panels with flex-grow and :has(), a fanned stack, staggered blinds, a colour lens powered by @property, a cursor badge, and a focus mode that dims a whole grid with one selector. Every effect also respects hover-capable devices, keyboard focus and reduced motion.
