Denis Olok MCCJ - St. Bernard was a Cistercian monk, abbot of Clairvaux, and one of the great Doctors of the Church. He’s known as the “Mellifluous Doctor” for his beautiful preaching and devotion to Mary. -1st Reading: Ezekiel 36:23-28 “I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean... A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you.” God promises renewal. He takes out the heart of stone and gives us a heart of flesh. -Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 51:12-13, 14-15, 18-19 R/. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses. -Gospel: Matthew 22:1-14 Parable of the wedding feast: “Many are called, but few are chosen.” God’s invitation goes out to all. We’re called to come clothed in holiness and humility, like St. Bernard who lived that invitation , we’re invited to a life of prayer, penance, and love for Christ and Mary.
