A cycle for ν moles of helium consists of two sections of linear dependence of pressure p on volume V and an isochore (see Figure 31). In the isochoric process 1–2, the gas was given an amount of heat Q, and its temperature increased by a factor of 4. The temperatures in states 2 and 3 are equal. Points 1 and 3 on the pV diagram lie on a straight line passing through the origin. 1) Find the temperature T1 at point 1. 2) Find the work done by the gas per cycle.
