Visited Vietri & Salerno August 10th - 15th 2026 Pleasantly surprised how Salerno is like Naples but the crowd and all that brings with it. It safe and perhaps the lack of superlative sights keeps the population authentically Salernitanis as the lack of tourists also in restaurants keep prices reasonable. Today two large cruise ships docked in Salerno for cheap port rates where its passengers are mostly shipped further North in Amalfi Coast.
