Jesus, My Helper

This sermon explores the narrative of Jesus healing a paralytic in Mark 2, highlighting the intense determination of the man's friends to reach Him. The central message challenges believers to pursue the Lord's forgiveness with the same passionate intensity they often reserve for seeking His help in daily struggles. By contrasting the physical healing with the spiritual forgiveness of sins, the text emphasizes that Jesus possesses the divine authority to forgive, a truth that validates His identity as God. The preacher uses the historical example of a World War II prisoner escape to illustrate the kind of relentless persistence required to overcome spiritual barriers. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a heart of repentance that views sin as a relational wound to be urgently addressed, rather than a trivial matter, in order to restore intimacy and freedom in one's relationship with God. https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/101826...
