I suggest solid. This gave me the option to weld the tube to the motor if mounting the motor above the hardware didn't work. Drums - Standard drums for a 10' lift 1/8" cabling Bearing plate I suggest having them crimp the ends of the cable. Unless you have crimps that are designed specifically for this type of hardware. I crimped the cable that went from the motor to the center drum and it failed on my first test and the sled went crashing to the floor.
