Has New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson completely lost touch with the fan base? Just two weeks after publicly demanding accountability, better execution, and results from her organization, Benson has released a new letter that seems to tell an entirely different story. And Saints fans have every reason to question what has changed. Welcome to The State of the Saints Podcast, hosted by T.J. Jones, where we discuss the latest news, controversies, and developments surrounding the New Orleans Saints. After an embarrassing 16-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris, France, the Saints are sitting at 2-5, with more questions than answers about the future of this franchise. New Orleans managed just 18 rushing yards in the loss, another disappointing performance that has left the Who Dat Nation frustrated. On October 13, Gayle Benson made headlines when she publicly criticized the team's performance, insisting that the organization must do better. She emphasized that the responsibility started with her and that words alone would not restore the confidence of Saints fans. Fast-forward to October 28, and the message sounds completely different. In her latest letter following the Saints' trip to Paris, Benson celebrated the historic occasion, thanked those who made the journey, and highlighted business opportunities, international partnerships, and the positive experiences surrounding the event. She even suggested there was plenty to be proud of despite another disappointing loss. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FOOTBALL TEAM? WHAT ABOUT WINNING? WHAT ABOUT ACCOUNTABILITY? For fans who spend their hard-earned money supporting this franchise, the sudden change in tone raises serious questions about the priorities of the New Orleans Saints organization. In today's episode, T.J. Jones discusses: Why Gayle Benson's latest comments feel like a complete 180 from her previous demand for results. How the Saints' embarrassing performance in Paris exposed the team's continued struggles. Whether general manager Mickey Loomis and head coach Kellen Moore are being held accountable. Why celebrating business relationships and international exposure may not sit well with a frustrated fan base. Whether the Saints front office truly understands the expectations of the Who Dat Nation. If the current organizational structure is preventing meaningful change. Whether Saints fans have any reason to believe things will improve under the current leadership. THE BIG QUESTION: ARE SAINTS FANS STUCK IN A HOPELESS SITUATION? The Saints have one of the most passionate and loyal fan bases in professional football. But loyalty should never be mistaken for acceptance of mediocrity. Is the organization more concerned with its business success than putting a winning product on the field? Does Gayle Benson truly understand how frustrated Saints fans have become? And if the people running this franchise aren't willing to make difficult decisions, where does that leave the future of the New Orleans Saints? T.J. Jones delivers his perspective on the growing disconnect between the Saints organization and the people who support it. ⚜️ WHO DAT NATION, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
