Fred Astaire & Jane Powell | Romance, Music and a Royal Wedding in London | Full Musical Movie

Synopsis : Fred Astaire and Jane Powell bring music, romance and unforgettable dance sequences to Royal Wedding (1951), a Technicolor musical directed by Stanley Donen and also starring Peter Lawford and Sarah Churchill. Astaire and Powell play Tom and Ellen Bowen, a successful American brother-and-sister musical team traveling to London to perform during the excitement surrounding a royal wedding. But London brings unexpected romance for both of them. Ellen meets the charming Lord John Brindale, while Tom finds himself drawn to dancer Anne Ashmond. As their personal lives begin competing with their professional partnership, the brother-and-sister team must decide what comes next. For Fred Astaire fans, Royal Wedding contains some of his most imaginative screen dancing. In one famous sequence, Tom dances alone with a hat rack. In another, his excitement over falling in love leads to the legendary routine in which Astaire appears to dance up the walls and across the ceiling of his hotel room. More than seven decades later, that gravity-defying sequence remains one of the film’s defining images. #RoyalWedding #FredAstaire #JanePowell #PeterLawford #FredAstaireMovies #FredAstaireDance #CeilingDance #ClassicMusical #MusicalMovie #DanceMovie #Technicolor #StanleyDonen #1951Movies #ClassicMovies #GoldenAgeHollywood 👉 Welcome to subscribe !    / @moviedropfree
