Rocky Balboa never paid a water bill in Philadelphia, and he might still be the most famous name in Kensington. This is a neighborhood-by-neighborhood tour of Philadelphia, one famous name per neighborhood, told the way people around here actually tell it. That includes the parts the plaques leave out: the Betsy Ross grave where the work crew dug and found nothing, the Mario Lanza birthplace knocked down for apartments, and the street sign the city spelled wrong for Patti LaBelle. Enjoyed this one? More Pennsylvania stories here:    / @therealpennsylvania   Neighborhoods covered, in order: Kensington (Rocky), Old City (Betsy Ross), Queen Village (Larry Fine of the Three Stooges), Bella Vista (Mario Lanza), Lower Moyamensing (Bobby Rydell), Graduate Hospital (Marian Anderson), Southwest Philadelphia (Patti LaBelle), Center City (Kevin Bacon and his father, Ed Bacon), Spring Garden (Edgar Allan Poe), Strawberry Mansion (John Coltrane), Haddington (Wilt Chamberlain), Wynnefield (Will Smith), East Falls (Grace Kelly), and Germantown (Louisa May Alcott). Think we got your neighborhood wrong, or left it out? Make your case in the comments. #Philadelphia #PhillyHistory #Pennsylvania
